Disney Hades Nachos Recipe: Blue corn tortilla chips topped with buffalo chicken, queso, lettuce, tomato, salsa, sour cream, and jalapenos pinit

If you love a little heat with your Disney snacks, this Disney Hades Nachos recipe is such a fun recipe to make at home. Inspired by the Halloween favorite from Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, these nachos pile crispy dark tortilla chips high with spicy Buffalo chicken, creamy nacho cheese, cool sour cream, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, and jalapeños. I love recreating seasonal Disney treats that are only available for a limited time, and this Hades Nachos recipe brings all of those bold, spicy flavors straight to your kitchen whenever the craving hits.

Cooking Tips

For the best Hades Nachos, assemble them just before serving so the tortilla chips stay crisp beneath all of the toppings. Rotisserie chicken is a great shortcut for the Buffalo chicken, and you can easily adjust the heat by adding more or less Buffalo sauce and jalapeños. Warm the nacho cheese separately before pouring it over the chips, and add the lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, and sour cream last so the cool toppings stay fresh. If you cannot find black bean tortilla chips, blue corn tortilla chips are a good substitute and still give the nachos that dark, dramatic Hades-inspired look.

Instructions

  1. Add the shredded chicken to a medium saucepan or skillet. Stir together the Buffalo sauce, melted butter, and garlic powder, then pour it over the chicken.

  2. Cook over medium-low heat for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is hot and completely coated in the sauce.

  3. Spread the black bean tortilla chips over a large serving platter or 4 shallow bowls.

  4. Spoon the Buffalo chicken evenly over the chips. Drizzle the warm nacho cheese sauce generously over the chicken and chips.

  5. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomato, salsa, sour cream, and sliced jalapeños.

  6. Serve immediately. Hades Nachos are best eaten right away while the chicken and cheese are warm and the chips are still crunchy.
