Base Layer Ingredients
1/2box yellow cake mix
1 egg yolk (reserve the egg white for the topping layer)
4Tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
Topping Layer Ingredients
4oz cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
1 egg & egg white
1/2tsp vanilla extract
2Tbsp unsalted butter (softened to room temperature)
1/2cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2cup heath bar pieces
2cups confectioner's sugar

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Make the cake base: combine ½ box of yellow cake mix, 1 egg yolk (reserve the egg white for the topping layer), and 4 tablespoons of butter in a mixing bowl. Stir until smooth.

Spread the mixture in a greased 9x9 pan and press into a smooth, even layer.

Make topping layer: In a medium bowl, beat cream cheese and 2 tablespoons softened butter until smooth. Add an egg plus the egg white from earlier, and vanilla and beat until combined. Add confectioners sugar, one cup at a time. Beat for 2-3 minutes.

Fold in the chocolate chips and Heath bits.

Pour the topping mixture over the top of the cake base and spread evenly.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes. The top should be golden brown and the center should be slightly jiggly, but the edges should be set. Cool on a cooling rack for at least 30 minutes.

Cut into squares and top with vanilla ice cream, Hershey's hot fudge, Smucker's caramel sauce, and more toffee bits. Serve immediately ♨ and enjoy!
