Cooking Tips

For this recipe, you’ll make a cake base and topping. You will want to press the cake base into a 9×9 pan with your hands. I tried using a spoon but it didn’t work very well. The key to the topping is to mix it for 2-3 minutes after you add the confectioner’s sugar. That will make it nice and fluffy to go well with the cake base.

The ingredients for the Liberty Tree Tavern Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake include:

  • Yellow Cake Mix
  • Eggs
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Cream Cheese
  • Vanilla Extract
  • Chocolate Chips
  • Heath Bar Pieces
  • Confectioner’s Sugar
