Bring the flavors of Thanksgiving at Walt Disney World into your kitchen with this Liberty Tree Tavern Herb Stuffing recipe! Inspired by the comforting, homestyle stuffing served as part of the Patriot's Platter at Liberty Tree Tavern in Magic Kingdom, this delicious side dish combines tender bread cubes, buttery onions and celery, and a savory blend of traditional herbs. Moist, flavorful, and easy to prepare, this copycat recipe is the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving table or any family dinner. Pair it with roasted turkey, Pennsylvania pot roast, and mashed potatoes for a truly Disney-inspired holiday feast!
Cooking Tips
For the best results with this Liberty Tree Tavern Herb Stuffing recipe, use day-old white bread or slightly dried bread cubes to help absorb the buttery broth without becoming mushy. If your bread is fresh, spread the cubes on a baking sheet and dry them in the oven at 350°F for 10–15 minutes before assembling the stuffing. Sauté the onions and celery until they're soft and translucent to bring out their natural sweetness, and don't skimp on the butter for that rich, homestyle flavor. Add the chicken broth gradually, tossing gently until the bread is evenly moistened but not soggy. For a soft, tender texture similar to the stuffing served at Liberty Tree Tavern, keep the baking dish covered with foil for most of the cooking time, removing it only during the final 15–20 minutes to lightly brown the top. If you're preparing this dish for Thanksgiving, you can make it ahead and reheat it with a splash of chicken broth to keep it moist and delicious.

Recreate the comforting flavors of Liberty Tree Tavern at Magic Kingdom with this delicious herb stuffing featuring tender bread cubes, sautéed onions, celery, garlic, and savory seasonings, perfect for Thanksgiving or any family feast.
Ingredients
12cups cubed day-old white bread (about 1 pound)
¾cup butter (1½ sticks)
1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
3 celery stalks, finely diced
4 garlic cloves
1teaspoon dried parsley
1teaspoon dried sage
1teaspoon dried thyme
1teaspoon dried rosemary, crushed
1/2teaspoon poultry seasoning
1teaspoon kosher salt, or to taste
½teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2cups chicken broth, plus more as needed
2large eggs, lightly beaten
Instructions
1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the bread cubes on a large baking sheet and bake for 5-10 minutes, stirring halfway through, until lightly dried but not browned. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
2
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced onion and celery. Cook for 7–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and translucent. Avoid browning the vegetables. Add in the garlic and cook for 30 seconds.
3
Stir the parsley, sage, thyme, rosemary, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper into the butter mixture. Cook for another minute to release the flavors.
4
Pour the buttery vegetable mixture over the bread cubes and toss gently.
5
Mix the chicken broth and eggs together in another bowl. Slowly add the chicken broth and eggs to the bread cubes stirring until evenly moistened. Add more broth as needed until the bread is soft and moist but not soggy.
6
Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Transfer the stuffing to the dish and spread evenly without packing it down too tightly.
7
Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for another 10–15 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and the center reaches 165°F.
8
Let the stuffing rest for 5 minutes before serving. For an authentic Liberty Tree Tavern-inspired meal, serve alongside roasted turkey, pot roast, mashed potatoes, and gravy.
