Deep Fried Hawaiian Rolls Recipe Ingredients
Cooking Tips
For the best results, keep the oil at 350°F and fry the rolls only until they are evenly golden. I like to use the TempPro TP510 Waterproof Digital Candy Thermometer with Pot Clip to ensure that the oil is the right temperature. Since Hawaiian rolls contain sugar, they can brown very quickly, so watch them closely and work in small batches or even better, one at a time. Coat the rolls in cinnamon sugar while they are still warm, then add the sweetened condensed milk just before serving so they stay crisp on the outside.

These deep-fried Hawaiian rolls are golden, cinnamon-sugar coated, and drizzled with sweetened condensed milk.
Ingredients
4 King's Hawaiian Rolls
1/2cup sugar
1.5tsp cinnamon
1/3cup sweetened condensed milk
oil (for frying)
Instructions
1
Place the separated Hawaiian rolls on a baking sheet and let them sit uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes. Slightly drying the surface helps the rolls absorb less oil while frying.
2
Add about 2 inches of oil to a heavy-bottomed pot or deep skillet. Heat the oil to 350°F.
3
While the oil heats, combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl. Set the cinnamon-sugar mixture aside.
4
Carefully lower one roll at a time into the hot oil. Fry for approximately 10 seconds per side, turning the roll with tongs, until evenly golden brown.
5
Remove the rolls from the oil and allow the excess oil to drain briefly on a wire rack or paper towel-lined plate.
6
While the rolls are still warm, gently roll each one in the cinnamon-sugar mixture until completely coated.
7
Drizzle the rolls generously with sweetened condensed milk. Serve immediately while warm ♨ and enjoy!
