Place a frying pan on the stove set to medium heat. Add about 2 cups of vegetable oil, enough for the oil to be 1 inch deep.
Pat the hot dogs dry and toss them in some flour. Slide wooden toothpicks into the ends of the hot dogs, about 3/4 of the way up the hot dog's center. Dip the hot dog into the batter, rolling it until the hot dog is fully coated.
